Georgie Scott is an abstract artist living and working in Guernsey, UK. Many of her artworks are inspired by her natural environment; the land, coast and sea surrounding her beautiful island home.

Nature can be both tranquil and calming, but also at times dramatic and charged, demonstrating how shifting coastal environments can be.

The island of Guernsey with her neighbouring islands of Alderney, Herm. Sark and Jersey as well as the coast of France is a constant source of inspiration for Georgie’s artworks, capturing the shifting light and the diverse range of coastlines from cliffs and rugged shores to vast tidal vistas and sandy beaches; each provides a unique experience that inspire a deep connection with our environment.

It is these uplifting and life affirming atmospheres that inspire Georgie to explore the possibilities of light, colour, and textural depth in her artworks. Her sources can be singular or multiple images often combined with memories and intuitive inspiration.
